Behold the Scratchocaster
It's a guitar, it's a turntable, it's a synth, it's....the Scratchocaster ! An instrument with a built-in turntable that lets you play the notes by scratching, it was custom built by Vinyl Lourd Son in his home in France. In fact, he has now built two Scratchocasters.
We first met Vinyl Lourd Son at Musikmesse in France, where his first scratchocaster drew a lot of attention. In fact DJs all over the world have seen his invention, he even did a gig with Qbert, one of the most famous DJs in the world. We loved his concept of a real instrument for scratching which can be played with other musicians on stage.
So we sat down for an interview with him in La BAM (Metz,France) and even got a free concert for you!
